If you ask Alec, "¿cómo te llamas?" ("what's your name?"), he will respond, "alit DONG!" with great enthusiasm, which we have decided means "Alec Gunson!"
He has also started saying "ayUHvoo," which we think means "I love you!"
He's a bit lost if you actually ask him in English what his name is, though . . . but he does know that he is Alec, because he also says "alit" whenever he sees his reflection, or a picture of himself, or if it looks like something he wants is going to his brother instead.
